The Foundation for Economic Freedom is a public advocacy organization dedicated to advancing the cause of economic and political liberty, good governance, secure and well-defined property rights, market-oriented reforms and consumer welfare. It counts among its members former and present Cabinet secretaries and undersecretaries, leading figures in the academe, respected media personalities and opinion-makers, and prominent members in the business and finance community.
Trustees, Officers and Fellows
The Foundation has for its Board of Advisers, former Prime Minister Cesar E.A. Virata, former Socio-Economic Planning Secretary Dr. Gerardo Sicat, National Scientist Dr. Raul Fabella, and former World Bank resident representative Thomas Allen.
The Foundation is led by its Board of Trustees, composed of former Finance Secretary Roberto de Ocampo, OBE as Chairman, and economic/financial adviser Romeo Bernardo and former DBP President Simon Paterno as Vice-Chairmen. Political economist and BPO entrepreneur Calixto Chikiamco acts as President, together with business executive and current Ateneo de Manila University Chairman Bernadine Siy as Treasurer, and Atty. Ricardo Balatbat III as Corporate Secretary.
Other Trustees include former Finance Secretary Margarito Teves, former Finance Undersecretary Ma. Cecilia Soriano, corporate lawyer Perry Pe, banker-economist Vaughn Montes, urban/regional planner Arturo Corpuz, investment and innovation law adviser Kristine Alcantara, real estate developer Jeffrey Ng, agriculture industry expert Christopher Matthew Ilagan, technology, e-commerce and cyberspace law expert and U.P.
